Sacrament of the Sick (Anointing)=

Anyone preparing for= surgery or suffering from any form of chronic illness can request the Sacrament of = the Sick (Anointing) from one of our priests. The sacrament can be celebrated at your home or before, after or during Mass. This sacrament is for spiritual healing and strength. It can never be celebrated after death.  =

 

Due to federal regul= ations regarding confidentiality, pastoral visits at hospitals cannot be made by clergy without the explicit request of the patient or their immediate family.  For patients at Portsmouth Regional Hospital arrangements should be made through Sr. Nina Underwood, a staff chaplain, w= ho can be reached directly at 433-5244.  For all others, please call our pastoral center at 436-4555.<= /p>
