Pro Life

The late great John Paul II continually asked us to help build a Culture of Life. There are so many ways this can be done and as Catholic Christians we are obligated to do so. This page attempts to give you some ideas on how you might fulfill this obligation.

Spiritual Adoption To help stop the anti-life push around the world, the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen encouraged the spiritual adoption of an unborn child. This is done by praying that the one particular but unknown child’s life be spared abortion and be allowed to continue to live.
Good Counsel Good Counsel, a nationally recognized nonprofit, founded in Hoboken, NJ by Father Benedict Groeschel, CFR, and Christopher Bell, for homeless pregnant mothers and single mothers with babies, operates five homes in New York State and has helped replicate programs in eight states. Good Counsel also conducts post-abortion counseling and a referral network. Additionally, Good Counsel operates separate national Helplines for post-abortion and crisis pregnancies.
Rachel's Vineyard Rachel's Vineyard weekends for healing after abortion are offered throughout the year in locations across the United States and Canada, with additional sites in Portugal, Australia and New Zealand. We also offer a 13-week support group model for Rachel's Vineyard. Rachel’s Vineyard is a ministry of Priests for Life
Priests for Life Priests for Life was started in 1991* to do one of the most important tasks in the Church today . . . to help priests around the world spread the Gospel of Life to their people.
Sisters of Life The Sisters of Life is a contemplative/active religious community dedicated to protecting and advancing a sense of the sacredness of all human life — beginning with the infant in the womb and extending to all those vulnerable to the threat of euthanasia.
The Manhatten Declaration We are Orthodox, Catholic, and evangelical Christians who have united at this hour to reaffirm fundamental truths about justice and the common good, and to call upon our fellow citizens, believers and non-believers alike, to join us in defending them. These truths are:
  1. the sanctity of human life
  2. the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of husband and wife
  3. the rights of conscience and religious liberty.
The Catholic Advocacy Network Join with thousands of others to work for justice in society and promote the values important to our faith. Through the Catholic Advocacy Network, you can stay informed about important issues and strengthen the Catholic voice.
